Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s is just a little more than six weeks away and I can hardly wait. Thank you to Russell Mefford, Mitch Mann, and all the groovy Fiddleworms and friends for once again asking me along for the ride. Never forget: We are all worms, Shoals friends... can you dig it?

The Shoals is a magical place, y'all. Whether by birth or by choice, we call The Shoals home and the music courses through our veins like the magical waters of our beloved Singing River. You understand what I'm saying, right? We all live in a sort of secret (not-so-secret) garden and speak our own musical language. The older I get, the more I realize the love language of The Shoals is music and music is our gift to the world.

Honestly, though, it's my experience that The Shoals can be confusing to those looking on from the outside world. Although The Shoals made me and it's all I've ever known, I find it a bit difficult to describe to the world at large. Are there any words to adequately describe lightning in a bottle? Truth is, The Shoals is something you have to experience.

In these next few weeks of July as we anticipate Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s on August 29 and 30 at Florence's historic Shoals Theatre, let's celebrate our shared gift to the world. Feel free to message me with your love letter to The Shoals and our music.

Dig worms, y'all, and get your tickets at Mefford Jewelers.

See you on the flip side.
