Ahh. One of my most favorite lines in one of my most favorite songs. Preach, your royal badness. It doesn't take much to flip my purple switch. Prince lyrics live rent free in my head -- purple wisdom is always on the tip of my tongue and on the verge of escaping my mouth. That's just who I am.

Fight me on it: Prince was the greatest artist to ever live. Of all the artists that made me/raised me, Prince is hands down the most influential. No contest. To this day, Prince is still teaching me life lessons. Lessons I wouldn't have gotten otherwise, seriously. Prince is, was, and will forever be everything to me. This song ranks pretty high on my Prince-o-meter, too. It's about the one I love -- you know who you are. I smile through tears during every sing-a-long -- bittersweet joy captured.
