OK, Monday, let's see what you have in store. What a great weekend ... I woke up with Jolene in my head, too, so maybe that's a sign that it's going to be a good day.
Speaking of Jolene, have you seen Lil Nas X's cover? I'm sure the answer to that question is, "no," for the majority of you. Look it up, though. Regardless of your musical tastes, I think a cover such as that speaks volumes about the possibilities of a great song. Remember when Miley covered Jolene? I hope the song keeps getting revived by new generations.
There's nothing quite like the original, though. Dolly's voice is so unique. So iconic. Dolly is so Dolly. Often imitated but never replicated. For us old timers, who would have thought Dolly would have become a complete humanitarian icon? Who saw that coming?
