Family Tradition, Hank Williams Jr., 1979

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good morning, Bocephus! I'm not surprised at all to be hearing, "Hank, why do you drink?" all up in my head right now. You see, this was the song playing as I pulled into my carport yesterday. Did I sit and sing along til it was over? You know I did. My, my, my -- love me some late 70s/early 80s Hank Jr., y'all. Don't ever let anyone tell you I wasn't raised right. šŸ˜€

For the past month or so, I've been all in my 1970s nostalgic feels. Some of my happiest memories from those years are listening to music with my best friend. We'd let the 45s drop for hours on end. It's so weird to think back to being that young. Being eight years old and having songs like this on repeat and singing along with all our might -- not weird or inappropriate at all. Lol. Good times.

Oh, guess what ... Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s is less than two weeks away. Spoiler alert: I'm thinking this song is on the night two setlist. The Shoals music scene is a real close family, don't cha know? Leave me alone, I'll be singing all night long -- that's our Shoals family tradition.

Dig worms: 2 nights, 2 sets, 2 playgrounds, 1 community.
