My soul connects with Wet Leg. I mean like really really connects. In case I've never mentioned it, *wink-*wink, I'm a fan of their first album. Who am I kidding? Fan is an understatement. I LOVE Wet Leg's first album so very much.

After three long years, I am ecstatic to have a new Wet Leg album. The band's sophomore album, Moisturizer, dropped last Friday and I'm blown away. Stunned, I say. This track was an instant favorite with me. Hmmm, I wonder why I love this song ... Not really, 😆, it's the "get lost forever" pre-chorus and the absolutely brilliant chorus that hooked me. Listen and you'll see what I mean. Truth in advertising, y'all.

I'm not sure how Rhian (Teasdale) can sound so completely interesting and unique without sounding cartoonish. Rhian oozes cool character energy, sans the cartoon, though. Plus, instead of screaming on cue like some of my favorite 90s music gods, Rhian coos and purrs and mumbles just right and it's pretty dang alluring. Count me in. Her tone is so very come hither and powerful but still very honest and vulnerable. Huh? How does she do that?

It's just so very nice having Wet Leg's music in the world. It's all sassy and fun. Yet, the lyrics still hold a pertinent and timely message. Speaking of timely, I hope I'm not down for the count today. A migraine found me at the most inopportune time last night and fingers crossed it doesn't continue to play hell.
