There's hope for me, yet, friends. Sure, the world is burning, my career isn't what it should be, and I may never be financially secure in this lifetime but you know what? I'm pretty dang happy. Lord help me, I'm a little smitten, too. I know. I know. Has hell frozen over? Yeah. Maybe it has ... we'll see.

I simply can't overstate the importance of Stevie Wonder's "Talking Book" in my life. Having this song with me for a few days now is seriously fueling some budding (pleasure) endorphins. Holy Stevie Wonder, universe, are you leading me on? It's so funny, no -- I can't commit to my all-time favorite album but I can tell you this: Talking Book is Top 5.

Get it? Top 5? Raise your hand if you "get" the connection between this song being my earworm and my "Top 5" reference. Here's another hint: I watched one of my Top 5 favorite movies for the 20 millionth time Saturday. This song plays over the end credits.
