Look Out for Me, Turnstile, 2025


This is my new favorite song. Have you listened to Turnstile's latest album, yet? It's a really good listen, friends. Love this song ... "Standing in the corner with the things I never said. Not a lot of reason when your brain's gone to your head." Wow. That's ridiculously good songwriting, y'all.


The older I get, the more I warm to how what's old is new again. Life keeps teaching me that it's true, what goes around really does come back around. The 20-year rule in recycling fashion trends happens. It's a real thing. Haven't you noticed how we're all straight out of a Delia's catalog right now? 😀 I ain't mad. The late 90s/early 2000s were good to me.


We're living in such an interesting time when it comes to music. Historically speaking, when times are heavy in the day-to-day, pop music comes out to play. Right now, though, there's some massive genre-bending and breaking happening that makes me so very happy. Enter Turnstile's ever-evolving super unique mosaic sound. For me, it's a new-fangled "hardcore" take on late 90s music with a shoegaze mentality. BTW, grunge was never real, ya know.
