Jump Around, House of Pain, 1992

All I want to do is sleep but my subconcious is not having it this morning. Nope, not having it at all. I hardly think there's anything on my to-do list for the day that justifies invoking a Jump Around-level of morning motivation but it's ringing in my ears nonetheless. You know what, though, I'm OK with starting my day with this iconic Irish-infused punch in the gut. So very OK with it.

This is it, friends. This is that moment in time when we all become nostalgic over one of the coolest songs ever. Yes. This song is so very special and that iconic opening still tees it up in a way that is an immediate call to action. You hear it, right, and you obey. Raise your hands if you still know all the words. Yep. Just as I thought ... me, too. So many great lines. Word to your moms, I came to drop bombs. Classic.

Let me go on ahead and get up, stand up -- throw my hands up because you know what? I came to get down so I best get out of my seat and jump around.

Iconic.

You're welcome and happy Monday!
