Last week was pretty bleak in Emmyland, friends. Life is a big fat challenge right now but trust, your girl's not going down without a fight. I'm so grateful to still be standing at this point. I'd be even more grateful if I had tickets to see Samantha Fish on Wednesday night at the Princess but, such is life. 😎

At least Samantha's sweet electric blues language is the friend singing in my ear this morning. She's pushing me to just take it all one step at a time. It's funny hearing these sort of doomsday lyrics in my head right now, though. They hit close to home. The world is on fire. I am just breathing in the smoke after the damage is done. Has there ever been a more true statement? I wonder how many different ways there is to say, "you make your bed and you lie in it?"

Bottom line: If you don't know Samantha Fish, you should. She's pretty dang exceptional, y'all. Not only is she a talented singer and songwriter, she's one of the greatest guitarists of the 21st century. Go ahead -- fight me on it. She wields her guitar with a natural prowess that's simply beautiful. It's inspiring. Never sell yourselves short, friends.
