Cumbersome, Seven Mary Three, 1996

Well, hey. How about that? I just woke myself up sobbing. Have you ever done that before? I could hear myself sobbing/crying before dream Monica realized, "I'm dreaming," and woke up. So weird but sort of cool.

Not sure why, but this song was playing in my dream and crossed the threshold with me into my waking world. In my dream, I was in a classroom and someone took my favorite poetry journal. I was pleading for its return. Doesn't sound like me, or does it? Sometimes you do what you gotta do to achieve an end goal even in dream world. Hmm ... cumbersome, indeed. Ahh, yes -- this song makes perfect sense now.

7M3 -- one of those non-descript post-grunge bands with their emo Southern rock sound trying way too hard. This is a really good song, though, with great lyrics. I've held onto this song all these years because I love the brutally honest story it tells. Not being on the same page is so very cumbersome. When you're out of step with a person or with the world, it's painfully cumbersome and there isn't an easy fix. C'est la vie?

Happy Saturday/RSD!
