No Rain, Blind Melon, 1992

Ahh, Blind Melon and Shannon Hoon. Ahh, "No Rain" and the iconic "Bee Girl" video. All things I want rising generations to experience and internalize. It's day three of this perfect little diddy being my (ironically) cheerful little earworm companion. This upbeat, toe-tapping, finger-snapping seemingly joyful song is about depression, ya know.

I am so very thankful for yet another peaceful, restful weekend ... NOT. Truthfully, weather anxiety on top of the neverending battle of fighting this autoimmune disease made for an especially exhausting weekend. "No Rain" stalking the halls of my mind makes me giggle, though -- seriously, I'm down for a weekend with no rain.

A few weeks back, I saw one of my favorite former co-workers out in the wild and he was wearing a Blind Melon "Bee Girl" t- shirt. Yep. So very unexpected and so very cool. He's been on my mind ever since and so has Blind Melon and Shannon Hoon -- thank you, universe, for random gifts.
