Hello, March 22, 2025! I'm loving that this song is my earworm companion this morning. Well played, universe.

What? You've never heard of That Dog? You should totally know this band. My youngest son, Jared, loves this jewel of a virtually unknown (but fabulous band) from the 90s. I think this song, Never Say Never, is their best song. It tells the story of two people who are connected in a way that acts as a counterbalance. Lyrically speaking, it's simple but the concept is deep. This song's sound is full of 90s goodness. It's all poppy with female harmonies but with a heavy-handed guitar, keyboard, and violin, too. Yep.

You're loving this song, right? Jared has great taste in music ... and movies, and books, and clothes. Jared is the coolest guy but in the most subtle way. You know? His coolness leaves room for those around him to be cool, too. I just love him to the moon and back.

It's surreal but Jared is 30 today. I can't even believe it's true. How in the world has three decades gone by since he came into the world? So excited to celebrate him this weekend.
