Smile, Wolf Alice, 2021
So far, the only good thing about this morning is having my favorite Wolf Alice song on repeat in my head. Thank you, universe -- I just might make it through the day after all. My, my, my -- I live for this song. It's keeping me in the game right now, that's for sure.
This song is all about knowing without a doubt that who you are -- who I am -- is more than enough. It's about knowing your own strength, owning your own strength, and using your own strength. I am a force to be reckoned with and so are you. Give 'em hell.
Good grief, ticking clock -- fine, I hear you. I may be rising but I am absolutely not shining. What a bust of a weekend. I want a do-over. A storm-filled stressful Saturday does not count as a day of rest off work. Right? This bee stings.
OK, OK, OK -- I promise, I'm trying to rise and shine this morning but I'm mostly just filled with a complaint-ridden inner dialog. It's dark (thanks ridiculous DST), it's cold, and 40 work hours stand between me and spring break. Why in the world is spring break (UNA) so late this year anyway?
This bee sings? We'll see. I am what I am and I'm good at it.
Happy St. Patrick's Day but not happy Monday.
