Ugh. C'mon on now, brain. Seriously? Did I really need to start the day with Juliana pouring salt into my wounds? I woke from a dream and this song followed me over the threshold. I love Juliana and I love this song but it mocks me.

It's so funny/cool when songs literally tell your story. It's so funny/cool when those songs become part of our life's soundtrack. I haven't thought about this song in years but there was a time when it was my constant companion. This song tells the most honest truth of my entire adult life so far. I'm all for this last Monday of 2024 being a Juliana day with this song as my gateway.

I kind of love that the universe gifted me a dream about some of my favorite people and although I didn't emerge from dreamland with any recollection of details from that dream, this song followed me through for a reason. Thank you, universe, for reminding me of where I've been. Thank you for reminding me of the pure rocking beauty that is Juliana Hatfield, too. This simple guitar riff is everything, y'all.
