Infinity Guitars, Sleigh Bells, 2010

Hear that? That's the sound of the migraine that tormented me most of this past week. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Don't get me wrong, I have unwavering (forever) big love for this song but I realized this past week that it sounds like a relentless migraine.

Ahh, the art of auditory blissful torture via Alexis and Derek's earth-shattering sleigh bells. This song is like that iconic Heathers phrase musicfied. (Yeah, you know the one.) Umm, yes, please. Infinity Guitars is so very perfectly imperfect and undeniably demanding. Noise pop, indeed. True love.

On the eve of seeing Sleigh Bells back in 2018, one of my friends asked me if Sleigh Bells was a Christmas band. What does that even mean? I laughed. Mostly, I'm judgement free but I will laugh at you. Thinking about that little jewel of a very sincere very ridiculous question still makes me smile. Thankful.

Sidenote: Until I had this migraine epiphany, this song was one of my go-to "regulators, mount up!" songs. That designation stands. We ride at dawn.

Go on.

Happy Saturday!
