Today's Song of the Day

*1989, DC -- that's me far right on the bottom row*

War Pigs, Black Sabbath, 1970

That first note vibrates through your body. Stand up and be counted. This is one of the greatest songs of all time. Just wow. Right? Its message is universal and timeless. War Pigs has existed longer than I've been alive and it is still doing the good work of demanding accountability from listeners. Oh Lord, yeah. One thing is for certain, War Pigs is one of those rare songs that becomes part of you after that first listen. There is no simple act of hearing War Pigs -- listening to War Pigs equals internalizing its message.

Ozzy keeps telling us this story -- it's as old as time. Listen. We are in a never-ending battle to escape the oppression of a "supposed" powerful few. Holy wow. What a terrible injustice we're all witnessing right now from every angle.

Good grief. Somebody please crank uncle Ozzy to 11 and please shut this the f*uck down. Just say no to blubbering nonsensical dinosaurs, y'all. Seriously. No matter your wealth or assumed prestige, aging is a downward spiral and such is life. There's no escape. Being too old is a thing, period. Investing four years in someone who's seen their better days is just too risky. Ugh.

"Treating people just like pawns in chess

Wait till their judgement day comes, yeah"

Happy Saturday!
