Hey! It's Record Store Day -- my favorite holiday! Your girl is exhausted but I'm excited to hit up a few of my favorite shops today and hopefully bring home some jewels.

PS: I really need/deserve some treats. I burned two vacation days this week to finish a paper for a grad class I'm taking. No, no -- you must be mistaken -- I'm not bitter at all.

When this song came on my "comfort music" playlist yesterday, I stopped what I was doing and just let it wash over me. I love getting reacquainted with old friends. The beginning of this makes me think of songs by the classic country queens. I love Nicki's voice so much. I love these lyrics so much. I love how this song feels genreless. It's just a good song. One of my favorites. You should know this song.
