Ahh. The 80s. Music really was all over the map -- there was some super bad music and there was some really great music. It's funny how some songs unexpectedly ended up having staying power and actually became iconic. Case in point: Time After Time.
Sure, Time After Time is a good song (and a great video). Yes, Cyndi Lauper was one of the shining stars of the 80s. Still ... it surprises me how this song has unironically become a classic. Seriously, it's crazy how often this song is used in commercials and movies and such. It has been part of so many great pop culture moments ... remember that Time After Time scene from Romy and Michele? So funny.
