1. GNX -- Squabble Up, Kendrick Lamar, 2024

Struggling, y'all, but my friend Kendrick Lamar is all up in my brain this morning and life is good. The surprise drop of Kendrick's latest masterpiece back at the end of November had me giddy with excitement. No two ways about it, music lovers -- Kendrick is a sure thing. Not only that, Kendrick is an effortless artist seemingly bubbling over with creativity that he's willing to share with us. Hallelujah.

I could "talk" for days about why I love Kendrick. Bless her -- don't get her started. In a nutshell, Kendrick commands his creativity in a way that's visionary. His work is so intentional but it's not orchestrated -- do you know what I mean? He sees and hears and feels everything that he writes and is able to do the vision justice through expression. Innovative cathartic fusion. That's a very special gift that the majority of artists don't possess.

All hail Kendrick. Of course he tops my On Repeat Megastar Albums of 2024 list. Duh. Every single album on this list could be the next in line after Kendrick. They're "ranked" but the truth is, my love for these albums is pretty equal.
